Car with Coffeemaker

flying car designs

In the automotive industry, there is an axiom: No car that doesn't have a cup holder is going to sell, and that is certainly true in the US. But the driving public seems to be against it. This is especially true in countries such as the unreconstructed Europe where cup holders are a big problem. The Hertella Automat Kaffeemachine offers a solution.

Fiat 500L

Coffee machines are not uncommon in a car. This option is available in the Fiat 500L, which costs approximately PS200. Lavazza's "Espresso Experience" kit includes a flagon and heating element. The water flows through the custom-designed coffee pads, collecting in an upper reservoir where it is heated. This is a neat little innovation that Fiat is pushing hard. But will it be readily available in the UK, or is that a question of timing?

Yes, the Fiat 500L is going to have a built-in espresso maker. Fiat has partnered Lavazza to provide this unique feature. The coffee maker plugs in to the power source between the seats. This will allow you to enjoy a hot cup of espresso on the go. You also get a spoon, and a sugar holder. You will also need a small patisserie plate to place your coffee on.

FAQ

What length is an automotive mechanic apprenticeship?

It takes approximately three years to complete an automotive mechanic apprenticeship. The apprenticeship includes two years studying at school and two more as an apprentice. The first year teaches you all aspects, from theory to practical skills and safety procedures. During this time, you'll also learn how to use tools safely and efficiently. After the completion of the first year, you will spend another year on the job training. Here you'll gain valuable experience in different trades. These years will offer you the opportunity to attend formal classes.

The last year of the program is dedicated to gaining certification and qualifications in the field. These include NVQs (National Vocational Qualifications), which are awarded after passing exams covering specific topics within the industry. In addition, there are HNCs (Higher National Certificates) that cover general subjects such as management, business administration, and customer service. City & Guilds certificates can be obtained for individuals who want to learn certain trades.

What qualifications are necessary to become a mechanic

A series of tests is required to be a mechanic. These include:

  • A test of general knowledge
  • Practical exam
  • An apprenticeship test

These tests are meant to help you grasp the fundamentals of mechanical engineering and physics, before you begin your journey as a mechanic.

You'll be eligible for work as a mechanic after you have passed the tests. However, you'll still need to complete an apprenticeship. This will involve training in the trade.

You'll need to attend classes and workshops to learn everything you need to know about repairing vehicles. Working alongside skilled mechanics is also a must.

A mechanic must be highly focused and attentive to detail in order to succeed. You'll need to pay close attention to every aspect of vehicle repairs.

You'll need patience and persistence to become a successful mechanic. This may not be the career path that you want if you aren't able to follow directions.

However, if you love cars or enjoy working on them, you might be happy in this field.

Does it matter where I go to college?

Non, really. In terms of getting into the auto industry, there is no distinction between colleges. However, some schools offer better programs than others so if you're looking for something more specialized, look elsewhere.

How To

How to become an automotive technician

An automotive technician is responsible for vehicle maintenance and repair. He/she works in car dealerships as well as auto shops, garages, and service centers. He/she helps customers fix their cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, boats, lawn mowers, snowmobiles, tractors, trailers, farm equipment, planes, helicopters, jet skis, watercraft, bicycles, motorcycles, scooters, golf carts, etc. An automotive technician must have the ability to quickly diagnose and fix problems.

An associate degree should be obtained from a vocational school if you wish to work as an auto technician. After completing the program, he/she must pass ASE certification. ASE stands for American Society of Mechanical Engineers. There are two parts to the ASE certification exam. The first section tests your mechanical skills, while the second tests your practical knowledge. To take the test, you must visit one of the approved testing locations. These locations can be found online, or by contacting your local car dealer.

After passing the exam, a candidate must take a state exam before being licensed as an automobile technician. This process is different depending on where you live. Some states require candidates to complete a training program, while others let them study on their own. Some states require technicians to be licensed immediately upon receiving their license. Other states wait until they have been employed as automotive technicians for at least six month.

To become an automotive technician, one must apply at a local dealership. New employees are usually apprentices when they first get hired. Apprenticeship programs last about three years. This is when a student can learn how to do basic repairs such as changing oil, adjusting brakes and replacing tires. Some students are taught how to repair engines and replace transmission fluids. Schools offer classes during business hours. Some schools also offer evening classes when needed.

Once a student is done with his/her apprenticeship he/she can become a master journeyman. Journeymen usually spend four to five year learning how to install major systems like transmissions, differentials steering gear, suspensions, drive shafts, and steering gear. They are also taught how to troubleshoot electrical components and remanufacture engines. Many employers prefer hiring journeymen because they know the job well and understand what the customer expects.

Once a candidate passes the required exams and is granted a license, they might consider opening their own shop. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nearly 1.7 million automotive mechanic jobs were available in 2010. This number was expected increase 18% between 2009 - 2020. When a candidate plans to open his/her own shop he/she should be ready to invest thousands of dollars in equipment.

Automotive technicians' salaries depend on many factors such as the employer, whereabouts, education level and experience. A jobless person could make an average of $20,000 annually. Someone who has only a highschool diploma could earn around 21,000 dollars per year. Those with an associate's degree earned approximately $24,000 per year. Technicians with bachelor's degrees earn approximately $27,000 per year. The average annual salary for those with master's degrees was $32,000. Salary increases can be common. A professional who earns less that $30,000 today could reasonably expect a $40,000 increase in the next few decades.
